Project details

  • Project brief: Ashford Tarmac was commissioned by Canham Homes to complete road surfacing works at the newly developed Brook Place in Frittenden. The aim was to provide a durable, compliant surface suitable for all vehicular use while meeting planning requirements.

  • Site Preparation: The prepared roadway areas were thoroughly cleaned and checked for level and stability to ensure a solid foundation for surfacing.

  • Surfacing: Over the prepared base, we laid AC10 open-tex permeable tarmac.

  • This specification allows water to drain effectively, helping meet local planning regulations and supporting sustainable drainage (SuDS) requirements.

  • Why We Chose AC10 Open-Tex? AC10 open-tex permeable tarmac is ideal for residential developments. Its benefits include: excellent water drainage, compliance with SuDS and planning regulations, strong performance under vehicular traffic, and a clean, modern appearance that complements new-build environments.

  • Result & Benefits: The completed road surfacing provides a durable, permeable, and regulation-compliant surface for Brook Place. Improved drainage ensures safer access for residents and visitors. The smooth, professional finish enhances the aesthetic of the newly constructed homes, offering a long-lasting, practical solution.

“To ensure full compliance with planning regulations, we installed AC10 open-tex permeable tarmac throughout the development.”
