Site Survey & Quote
Every project starts with a thorough site survey. Our surveyors will:

Sub-Base Requirements & Drainage
A strong sub-base is the foundation of a long-lasting tarmac surface. Key steps include:

• Removal of unsuitable soil, debris, or old material
• Compaction to create a stable, level platform
• Installation of drainage channels to prevent water pooling

A properly prepared sub-base prevents long-term issues and ensures your tarmac surface performs as intended.

Tarmac Thickness & Materials
Choosing the correct thickness and material depends on the usage:

• Residential driveways: 40–50 mm
• Car parks and light commercial areas: 60–80 mm
• High-traffic or industrial surfaces: bespoke specifications

Common materials we use include Stone Mastic Asphalt (SMA) and AC10 open-tex permeable tarmac, selected for durability, water drainage, and visual finish.
